Alison M. Cagle began her journey in emergency medical services while still in high school in Sacramento, California, where she took Emergency Medical Responder classes. In early 2021, she earned her EMT certification and worked for two years before moving across the country to join the Acadian Ambulance family in Lafayette, Louisiana. She is currently enrolled in paramedic school, continuing her commitment to advancing her skills and serving her community.
Alison has a passion not only for patient care but also for educating youth about the importance of EMS. She takes immense pride in her work and is known for her ever-present smile and positive attitude, which uplift both her colleagues and her patients. Her peers and supervisors alike commend her unmatched dedication, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
Outside of EMS, Alison specializes in protection training for dogs, a skill her paramedic partner has noted has been unexpectedly helpful on calls involving patients’ pets. This unique expertise reflects her creativity and resourcefulness both on and off the job.
For her dedication to EMS, consistent hard work, and commitment to quality patient care, Alison was recognized as Acadian Ambulance’s 2025 EMT of the Year. Today, Acadian proudly celebrates her as an American Ambulance Association Star of Life honoree.
