Nominations & Registrations Will Open in 2026

You must provide complete details for each nominee and host during your initial submission.

Eligibility—Who Are Our Stars?

All employees of ambulance services are eligible for nomination for the AAA Stars of Life program. All nominees are recognized as Stars. Examples of individuals commonly nominated include:

State-level Star of Life or other award program recipient
Employee of the year
On-duty or off-duty services above and beyond the call of duty such as special rescue or setting of significant records
Notable community contributions such as volunteer work, local leadership, partnerships with other organizations or agencies
Significant community distinction or honors related to ambulance, public safety, public health or health care services
Consistent service record that exemplifies your ambulance operation’s mission

Please note that we encourage individuals being honored posthumously to be recognized through the National EMS Memorial Service.

Online Nomination & Registration Process

The Stars of Life online registration process is completed by one person, the company contact, for all attendees from your ambulance service. All fields are required, INCLUDING HEADSHOT FOR STARS, and the form cannot save partially completed registrations. AAA strongly recommends assembling all materials for each Star, Host, and Guest before beginning online registration.

For each Star, you will need ALL of the following AT THE TIME OF NOMINATION. Please do not submit or attempt to submit partial details:

Name and job title as they should appear on the website and in print recognition
Email address (MUST BE UNIQUE—use of a host’s email will overwrite the host’s account. If no email exists for your star, please invent one ending @mailinator.com.)
Full HOME address
Cell phone number
All zip codes for which you’d like Hill meetings scheduled

A high-resolution headshot photo that is AT LEAST 750x750px. Read tips for taking great headshots with a smart phone.
Names and relationships of guests attending with your Stars. Please also be prepared to note which guests are young children.

Registration opens August 1, and closes September 30. Late submissions cannot be accommodated.

Full-Event Guests | $650 member / $1300 list
(+$150 Sept 15–Sept 30) NOTE: Max 1 guest per star/host until 10/1, then additional guest slots available on a space-permitting basis.

Tuesday Banquet Only | $199 member / $398 list

Photography Policy

Photographers may accompany the Stars and their families throughout the course of the Stars of Life event, and Stars, Hosts, and their guests may be featured in photographs documenting the event. Use of the photographs includes, but is not limited to, publication on the American Ambulance Association’s website and social media accounts.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations received in writing at HELLO@AMBULANCE.ORG by September 1, 2025 will be refunded less a 25% penalty. Cancellations received from September 2 to October 1, 2025 will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued after October 1, 2025. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. Credit cannot be held for a future year.

Conditions of Participation for Stars of Life

The Stars of Life event provides an extraordinary opportunity for emergency medical services professionals from across the country to gather in our nation’s capitol to celebrate and advocate for mobile healthcare excellence. By registering to attend, participants in Stars of Life agree to abide by our conditions of participation.

Payment Options

After entering all Star, Host, and Guest information, you will have the option to remit payment via credit card onscreen, or to view a printable invoice to mail in with your check.
