Mark Allen

Paramedic

EMSA
TULSA, OK

With nearly 28 years of dedicated service, Paramedic Mark Allen has grown from a logistics technician to a trusted clinician and mentor at EMSA. Throughout his career, Mark has exemplified humility, reliability, and quiet leadership.

Mark’s impact is especially evident in moments of crisis. At the end of a long shift, he responded to a pediatric cardiac arrest, providing expert care while calmly guiding newer EMTs through the high-stakes call. His ability to remain steady and composed inspires confidence in colleagues and patients alike.

Beyond his clinical expertise, Mark is admired for his mentorship. He has recently served as a preceptor for Paramedic students, who describe him as fostering a positive, supportive learning environment. Known for his humility, positive attitude, and ever-present smile, Mark consistently sets an example of professionalism and kindness.

“Mark’s not the loudest guy in the room, but his steady, calm presence makes a big impact. He’s proof that if you stick with it and keep learning, you can go far,” said Michael Parrish, EMSA Director of Operations – Western Division.

Field Operations Supervisors also commend his mentorship and positivity: “Mark is humble, has a positive attitude, and always has a smile whether coming into work or going home. His work ethic and positivity are admirable,” said Supervisor Katie Casey.

For his nearly three decades of service, his dedication to patient care, and his steady guidance to future generations of EMS professionals, EMSA is proud to honor Paramedic Mark Allen as a Star of Life.
