Lily Guidry

Lily Guidry is a Paramedic with East Baton Rouge EMS who has quickly distinguished herself through her commitment to learning, serving others, and helping develop the next generation of EMS professionals.

Lily’s interest in emergency services began at an early age, inspired by her father, who served on his plant’s first responder, firefighting, and hazardous materials teams. While in high school, Lily enrolled in an Emergency Medical Responder course to explore whether EMS might be the right career for her. She quickly discovered that she had found her calling.

Lily went on to earn her EMT certification through FETI and became a Paramedic in 2025. Now in her third year in EMS and her second year with East Baton Rouge EMS, she continues to embrace opportunities to expand her knowledge and abilities as a clinician.

More recently, Lily became an EMT/AEMT preceptor, an opportunity she is especially excited to take on. Although still early in her own EMS career, she understands the importance of sharing knowledge, experiences, and encouragement with those entering the profession. She looks forward to helping new providers develop their skills, build confidence, and grow into successful members of the EMS community.

Outside of EMS, Lily enjoys reading and crocheting and recently challenged herself to learn how to play hockey. She is also a devoted dog owner who jokes that although she does not have children, her dog is “plenty enough.” Her parents have enthusiastically embraced their role as “grandparents” and take their dog-sitting responsibilities very seriously.

For Lily, EMS is a profession of continual growth—learning from those who came before her, caring for people when they need help, and now passing what she has learned to others. Her enthusiasm, compassion, and commitment to developing both herself and her fellow providers reflect a promising future of service and leadership in EMS.
