Gina spent approximately eight years serving as an EMT before continuing her education and becoming a Paramedic. Throughout her career, she has worked in several busy EMS systems across Massachusetts, gaining extensive clinical experience while consistently providing compassionate, high-quality care to the patients and communities she serves.
Her commitment to EMS extends well beyond the ambulance. Gina has served as a teaching assistant and now teaches EMT students through the National EMS Institute, reaching learners from across the United States and around the world. She takes tremendous pride in sharing her experience, mentoring future EMS professionals, and helping students develop the knowledge and confidence they need to care for others.
Even as an experienced Paramedic and educator, Gina remains committed to being a student herself. She recognizes that medicine and emergency care continually evolve and actively seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge, sharpen her clinical skills, and become an even stronger provider and instructor. That combination of experience and humility allows her to model one of the most important qualities she can instill in her students: learning in EMS never stops.
Gina was selected for this recognition by her leadership team because of her exceptional work ethic, dedication to her community, and commitment to both her patients and students. Highly respected by her peers, she consistently demonstrates the professionalism, compassion, service, and leadership that represent the very best of EMS.
Through her work in the ambulance and the classroom, Gina has made a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, colleagues, and students. Her dedication to caring for others while strengthening the next generation of EMS professionals exemplifies the spirit of a Star of Life.
